Jupiter



Jupiter is the fifth planet in order from the Sun. It is the largest planet in our solar system with diameter of 142800 Km, the second largest planet is Saturn. Jupiter is the most massive planet in our Solar System.
The composition of Jupiter's atmosphere is similar to the Sun, presence of hydrogen and helium in atmosphere. Jupiter is made primarily of gases and therefore also known as a gas giant. It was named Zeus by the Greeks and Jupiter by the Romans, he was the very important deity in both pantheons.
The Rotation Period of Jupiter is 09h 55m, Solar Orbit Period of Jupiter is 11.9 years, and Mean Distance of Jupiter from the sun is 778 M Km.
Jupiter has 67 known satellites, Jupiter's satellite Ganymede is biggest satellite in solar system, the second largest satellite in our solar system is Titan which orbits arround Saturn.
